Yunnan

Yunnan is known as the most diverse province in all of China, both in its extraordinary mix of peoples and in the splendour of its landscapes. We spent a week in Yunnan together with our Hong Kong based friend Joy, travelling with a guide and driver from Kunming and the Shilin Stone Forest in the east, to Shangri-La (known locally as Zhongdian) in the west, nestled on the edge of the Tibet highlands. We ended our trip in Hong Kong, dropping off Joy and visiting good friends Maureen and Marcel.
